By paula · November 12th, 2007 · No Comments

Andrew declared it a launch.  We’re all going to put it on our blogs.  Not sure when.  Fantastic job, everyone!

Lot of eyes are on us now!!!

Pictures are taken.

The site is live at www.skribit.com.

We need data.  But we’re live!

bugs

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

blah blah blah.  That’s fixed, keep going.  Lather, rinse, repeat.  Lots of bugs were fixed.

It took so long to get the meeting started that we released another version in the meantime.

What issues keep us from launching?

We’re working this out…

videos

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

I’m not sure when they’re going to go on line — hopefully soon — but the videos are pretty damn funny.  Or is it because it’s late and we’re pretty punchy?  We’ll find out soon enough.

9:15 meeting

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

Dev/Jason: we’re only working on bugs, reached feature freeze.

Meet on Dec. 1st, beta on the 4th. Right now, invitation-only signup. Incremental launch over 3 weeks.

In the meantime: If you fix a bug, don’t close it out. Let QA verify it. Be verbose when posting bugs.

Back to work.

rock stars among us

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

There have been an unusually high number of rock stars here this weekend. Not just Samantha Murphy, who was as cool as Andrew promised. But people you’ve heard of before:

Peter Fasano

Bono (Peter Fasano)

Andrew Hyde

a surprisingly chipper Kurt Cobain (Andrew Hyde)

Jim Newbill

Daughtry(looking less bad ass than usual — Jim Newbill)

Paul Stamatiou

Anthony Kiedis (Paul Stamatiou)

7:21 7-minute meeting

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

Andrew: what happens tomorrow, next week? You have 5 exits: don’t launch anything, elect a CEO, turn over to a core team of 3-5 people, work on it nights and weekends, sell it tomorrow on eBay.

Jason: alpha testing, finding some bugs, but no show stoppers. Minimum feature set is in place. Could go to beta — might not be wise. We can release tonight. Take off the table don’t do anything, because we can launch tonight. We won’t be here all night — we have something. A rapid response team could handle major bugs for the next three weeks, then deal with everything else more slowly.

Narrow down to three choices: eBay, nights and weekends, core team. Discussion ensures. For LLC purposes, the core team can’t exceed five, but more people can be involved. Doesn’t have to be decided tonight.

Nights and weekends?

Andrew: It’s awesome you’re thinking about Monday on Sunday night.

Who is interesting in being part of the core team? File taxes, deal with community

Steve R., Paul S., Strut, Alan P, Jeff, Wei, Edward, Lance: but we only need 5, so Alan, Jeff and Wei pull out.

Jason: we really need a team to support the application that we finished tonight.

Can we have another weekend like this in 3 or 4 weeks? Lance working out a date.

Where are we at w/development?   Widget is feature frozen. One more feature on blogger interface, otherwise feature frozen.  Full feature freeze in an hour, another 1 1/2 hour of testing, then wrap it up and go home.

Next meeting at 9:15 PM.

The 7 minute meeting lasted until 8:02 PM.  Yikes.  But really, it means we didn’t have that much other stuff to do.  Or does it?

it’s that time of evening

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

….where people are handing out ibuprofen.  And reading Tucker Max for comic relief.  You’d think we don’t have anything to do.  But unfortunately, that’s not true.

writer’s block over

By paula · November 11th, 2007 · No Comments

…but not because Skribit’s ready yet (although it’s all looking good from here.)  I took a panda break.  Always a cure for what ails me, whatever it is.  Highly recommended.
